Title: deleting a location
Post by Juan on 02/09/12 at 09:01:24

Deleting a location on IN-L-B doesn’t delete the location from SM-C. When trying to delete the location in SM-C we get this message: “Delete the item class GL record for class CN at location “The name of the location we trying to delete”? Doing so means that all GL posting for this class/location will now go to the system default GL accounts”
What are the implication if say “Yes”?
We are using DBA classic
Thx
Juan

Use IN-G to print all inventory for that particular class. If there is any change the class.
then you can remove the class for that location.

if you remove it without checking, DBA/EVO will use the default account to post any inventory movement into the GL.

Before deleting the location, we deleted all the items from the location. There should be transactions for or from that location we haven’t touch this location in years. Would there be a problem deleting this location in SM-C?
Thx
