Title: EVO Contact Manager
Post by cellis on 02/22/12 at 14:10:09

Is anyone successfully using the EVO version of CM-B-B?  This version makes me miss the DBA version.  I've read everything I can find on using the EVO contact program and as far as I can tell it doesn't offer the same report options.  Not to mention half the time it errors and I have to task manager to shut it down.  The report type (previously offered) is gone and as far as I can tell the only report option is to print a single list using just the filter options on the page.  What exactly is the improvement?

This is the error I get if I try to run a report in CM-B-B.  Any ideas?

"Error during internal field find"

Works fine for me, and I have 7 different Report Types available. My menu is calling for bkcmbb.run, dated 8/18/2006.

You are able to use BKCMBB.run on EVO?  I thought all of the programs had to be T6 prefixes?

We use only a very few T6/T7 programs. I don't like the "graphical" forms and only use them if we have to for some feature. For instance, we use the BK AR-A for everything except for entering Credit Card info for which I have a separate menu item for the T7 one.

Well, I tried changing the program to call BKCMBB.run and I get this message:

"The new EVO Contact Manager has been turned on.  This is a legacy program that uses the old data structures and will only report on the older data."

So it looks like that won't work for us unless I figure out how to go "back"? to the DBA Classic version of the Contact Manager.

Yes, I remember something about that now. I looked at the advantages of the new CM and decided we liked the old one better so we never upgraded.

We upgraded by accident.   :(
