Title: Max number of lines/line items in a sales order

What is the max # of lines/line items allowed in a sales order?  Sales needs an answer urgently.

The line counter field is 3 digits, integer. Not sure how the program would react to 200 lines, though.

Yeah, I do cringe to think what sales may be up to, but they do strange stuff all the time and wonder "why
did Evo do that?"  There's no telling them otherwise, no ears to listen, they just go ahead in spite of what
I tell them.   ::)

Anyway, thanks for the quick reply!  I'll tell them 100....

We have entered 180 lines with no problem.

We have a Kit type item that has 95 lines, so I just entered 11 of them to see what would happen.

Well, the first thing I realized is that there is a difference between "Lin" that prints (if so optioned) on the documents as Line Number, and for which there is one per parent item, and "Line #" as to how many actual lines of data there are on the SO.

After entering 11 items I was at "Lin" 11 and "Line #" 1045.

I'm not going to try and enter 1000 parent items to see what happens...

The SO-A program itself can handle 5000 but the Line Number that prints on forms is 3 digit and if you are converting to work orders, the WO Suffix is 3 digits so 999 is a realistic limit.
