We've noticed the report is showing the wrong number of items to start with if anywhere down the line there is an item marked as scrap. I have a report showing a WO status and it's fine all the way through. Now a person adds an item to the scrapped number and the start number shows +1 (or the number of items scrapped). The WO screen (WO-A) is still correct, but the status report is wrong. This is driving our inventory and accounting people crazy. Can you please look at it?

It depends on your default settings. There are options for "Reduce WO Balance by FP Scrap?" and "Reduce WO Balance by Labor Scrap?" which determine whether the program thinks the Start Quantity per Sequence needs to be increased because you need to make another part to replace the scrap.

All those settings that you have mentioned are blank on our system.
So what is the system doing?

Blank in this case is treated the same as N which means you are not going to reduce the work order quantity and need to remake the part so you need to start more.
