We just updated from DBA 2008 to 2012.

We now find that although we enter a voucher number in AP-B, the voucher number no longer prints out on the check stubb. The space under reference is now blank.
Under the old 2008 update (and all previous versions) whatever voucher number we entered in AP-B would print out on the check stub. It no longer does that with the 2012 upgrade.

Our vendors need to have the voucher number on the check so they know how to post their payment.

I hope this is a bug or at least a default that I can change because we use AP-B Vouchers rather than AP-C. But even if we only used AP-B occasionally I would think the voucher number should still print out on the check stub.

Regardless whether the invoice is entered in AP-B or AP-C, you need the latest check printing RTM to get the check number on the stub. Whatever RTM you use, copy the RTX of the same name from the RTX subfolder and rename to RTM extension.

I am confused because it appears all my custom rtms seemed to copy flawlessly

That is the issue. No RTMs were overwritten by the update but in the case of the checks you have to manually copy them because you need the new ones.

I easily found BKAPHA1.RTX in the RTX folder.

Once I right click and copy it... where do I paste it? :-[ :-[
I was tempted to paste it where my other rtms are, but there is already an rtm there with the same prefix of BKAPHA1.

You have to get rid of the one that is there, then put this one in the same place and rename it.

I wasnt missing the check#, I was missing the voucher/reference. It appears this comes from subreport 1 for the top stub and subreport 2 for the bottom stub.

three questions

(1) the first (BKAPHA1.RTX) I copied was in the main folder with the rtms and everything else. it didnt work. So I went to the subfolder ttitled RTX and found another file (BKAPHA1.RTX) and it worked. Why do I have what appears to be the exact rtx in the main folder, but an apparently different file named exactly the same thing in the subfolder RTX?

(2) yes it worked but it didnot have the custom modifcations that i had done to BKAPHA1.RTM a few years ago. So I had to modify this rtm by hand (recustomize it). Did the update cause me to oose my customization? (3) will this be the case with my other customized RTMS?
