Title: DC-A and multiple jobs
Post by dkinser on 10/09/12 at 07:08:06

I've set the default to allow logging into multiple jobs, so in our mind an employee should be able to clock into work order 123-1, seq 1 and then clock into work order 345-1, seq 1 without having to clock out of 123-1.  Yet without fail, when an employee attempts to clock into a 2nd job while clocked into another they are forced to clock out of the first job and report labor and/or production on it.  I fail to understand the logic in your allowing clocking into multiple jobs if this is how it works.  They are simply being clocked out of one and into another.

What we were expecting the ability to clock into 2 or more jobs and have the total amount of time logged divided by the number of jobs the employee was clocked in.  What am I missing? :-?

In WO-R, under Processing tab, do you have Divide Labor Costs by # of Jobs Worked marked with Y?

In SD-F do you have Allow clocking in/out of multiple jobs set to Y?

I do appreciate your trying to help, but that was indicated in the very first post "I've set the default to allow logging into multiple jobs".  Hopefully Lynn or one of the Tech Support people can help with this.

There are 2 defaults that control this - one at the master level which you have set correctly but there is also one at the employee level set in SM-G.  Check that one.

That's the one that was missing.  Thank you very much Lynn, and cdecker for trying :)
