Title: Print Customer part Ref Numbers on Invoice Post by TwinOaks on 10/23/12 at 07:34:12 one customer is setup to have a customer reference # for each part. It prints out correctly on our sales order confirmation. We cannot get this reference number to print out on the invoice. Under the "release sales order" screen these reference lines are checked under our part number. suggestions how to get to print on the invoice? |
Title: Re: Print Customer part Ref Numbers on Invoice Post by TGerak on 10/24/12 at 05:09:08 Take a look at the RTM that you use for Order Confirmation. Once you identify the field that contains the data, you can make sure it's visible on the Invoice RTM. If for some reason it's not there, it wouldn't be hard to add. Which RTM's are you using for confirmation and invoice? |
Title: Re: Print Customer part Ref Numbers on Invoice Post by TwinOaks on 10/24/12 at 06:59:51 I use T6SOB4.RTM for sales orders and T6SOF4.RTM for invoices. Opened both files in the report editor, under the sub-report, they both have bkar.invl.pdesc marked and visible checked. I just ran invoices, and it is hit and miss on the invoices when the descriptions show up. the customer must see their customer part reference number - not sure what else to look at. any suggestions? thanks! |
Title: Re: Print Customer part Ref Numbers on Invoice Post by Lynn_Pantic on 10/24/12 at 07:09:49 Make sure you are saying Y to "Print Comment Lines" when printing invoices. |
Title: Re: Print Customer part Ref Numbers on Invoice Post by TwinOaks on 10/30/12 at 08:50:28 We are using "print comments lines" when printing invoices. We go back into the release sales order form and ensure that all lines are checked as released that pertain to the line item. we're still not able to get each sales order to print the customer reference number. It appears hit & miss. I've gone back to the sales order to ensure it is shown on the order, it is. any other suggestions? |
Title: Re: Print Customer part Ref Numbers on Invoice Post by TGerak on 10/31/12 at 06:19:33 If it works "sometimes", then it's probably not an Evo issue. It also means your RTM is correct. I would look closely at a specific item where it does work and at one where it doesn't. There must be a difference between them. It could be in the way either the Item or Sales Order was set up. Is the same user releasing and printing both? Are you using RTM groups for different customers? Something is different between the Order/Item. Keep looking. You will find it. |
