Recently updated from 2002.DL to 2004.1 ISTECH Update 8/07/12 SP1. We are receiving a periodic fatal message error when accessing WO-A: The field you are trying to use is unallocated. It may belong to a file that hasn't been opened yet, or was an array that was removed from memory - TEMP00.

Does anyone know of how to remedy this?

In addition to WO-A, we just got error msgs when accessing SO-A:

Fatal Error
Tp5wdba
An error message record was not found in the ERRMGS.B file. 405

and then:

Fatal Error
The field you are trying to use is unallocated. It may belong to a file that hasn't been opened yet, or was an array that was removed from memory - BKSY.PRGS.WHR

Any ideas why this is happening? Has only started since DBA Classic 2004.1 ISTECH Update 8/07/12 SP1

Sounds like the update process didn't create all the new files needed. UT-A, program DDCHECK, are there any errors?

Really appreciate your help. Here are the results. Ran NEWINIT then reran DDCHECK. Still showing the same errors. B02,4,6 & 99 are test companies. As a matter of fact, when going to the 'Change Company' screen, we can't access them because it says License Expired. Do we need to add the license key to the test companies? If so, where can I find that?

Would these errors to the test companies cause the fatal errors we receive in the default company?

Errors on the BKICREQ file can be ignored. That is not the problem. Also, the "License Expired" on the test companies will not stop you from changing to them. Once you do go there, go to SD-A and fix the name and address.

The BKSY.PRGS.WHR field is in the BKSYMSTR table that is opened by just about every program in the system so if you are getting errors on it, it sounds like you may be momentarily losing a network connection or something, especially since you say it is sporadic. Is it always on the same field name or does that change?

So far it's only happened in WO-A and SO-A. We will check our network connections (probably not till next week though) and let you know if that took care of the problem.
