As a medical equipment manufacturer some of our parts are subject to the new 2.3% medical excise tax. We are trying to automate this for our sales team and are looking for a way to mark the item file and have EVO calculate the tax and list it on the invoice as a seperate line item. If all of the items were subject to the tax it would be easy but that's not the case.

To do it the way you want would require programming involvement. We have another customer who is using a Discount code and a negative discount percentage to apply the tax. There is a default setting to list the discount as a separate line on the invoice. However, using this method requires that you are not using discounts as actual customer pricing discounts.
