Title: DE-A Export Data - Quotes Not Escaped Post by BethanyW on 01/16/13 at 06:20:59 I'm used DE-A to export data, and have discovered that quotes are not escaped when exporting. It's messing up the columns of my export when I open it as a spreadsheet, and there's no easy way to fix it that I can think of. In case the problem limited to something specific, here are the parameters I used: Date: ISO format DBA Filename: ROUTING Output Filename: ROUTING.TXT Output File Type: Delimited All Fields: Yes |

Title: Re: DE-A Export Data - Quotes Not Escaped Post by BethanyW on 01/16/13 at 12:20:44 It said I need to run T7Jsettings, so I did but I'm having issues with that. I entered the host, the port was automatically filled in, I entered the name and destination. When I went to Test Settings, I get an error: File Not Found Exception: jdbc.ini Interestingly, and I imagine related, the parameters listed at the top show NULL for db host, db port, and db name. Am I doing something wrong? |
Title: Re: DE-A Export Data - Quotes Not Escaped Post by Lynn_Pantic on 01/16/13 at 12:37:46 Save the settings and close SM-T and go back in, then test. I have asked Allen to disable the Test Settings button until the settings are saved. |
Title: Re: DE-A Export Data - Quotes Not Escaped Post by BethanyW on 01/17/13 at 05:33:33 That worked, thanks! I have a little feedback about SM-T though. In all the applications I've used a test function uses whatever values are shown in fields - not what's been saved and is (perhaps, if the user has entered different values) not shown. This seems to make sense because you don't want to have to save settings that you're not sure even work. |
