Title: real time count of inventory, plant supplies Post by Laura Oliver on 06/19/13 at 09:13:04 I want to be able to keep a real time account of general supplies. How am I supposed to increase and decrease inventory as we buy it and use it? Example: Safety glasses IN-A shows On Hand ...................0 On PO ....................0 Work in Process ......336 (which is the qty I have ordered over the last few years) Why is the Qty of 336 on WIP and not reflected in On Hand? I dont't understand why safety glasses are going to WIP. How do I make them go directly to On Hand? Am I doing something wrong when I recieve them in PO-C? Also, how do I tell DBA that I gave out 12 pair of safety glasses today, so that DBA will reduce the qty on hand? I suppose we need to manually take inventory at he end of the month and make the manual adjustment in IN-K, unless we go to bar code. Thanks, Laura tag : reduce inventory relieve inventory, accurate count items, reorder re-order |

Open the PO, Open the line in question, and check if the work order field has a number. Unreceive the line, add a new one and receive it there. :P Kelloggs |

Title: Re: real time count of inventory, plant supplies Post by Laura Oliver on 06/19/13 at 09:36:04 So the only time we are suppose to use a work order on a Purchase Order is when the item purchased is going to be part of the job? We have been putting this generic WO on all our POs since 1997 (LOL) I guess its time to stop. |
