Title: Ship items that show On-Hand as negative Post by Prier Products on 07/29/13 at 13:01:56 Occasionally we will not get work orders entered as finished product before we ship it. We were invoicing last week and had this happen. We tried to do the Edit piece like when you do have a backorder, only trying to put the Ship Qty in and that did not work. Hector suggested going to Sales > AR > A for that particular customer and check the box Allow Backorders. That worked, but it really wasn’t a back order. Is there something else that should be changed to allow us to ship a quantity we do not have on hand? We are using Evo View 04/04/13 SP2 Thanks! |

Enter a 0 if you want no restrictions on release quantities; enter a 1 if you want to be warned if there is insufficient on-hand stock to make the shipment and enter a 2 if you want to prohibit releasing a Sales Order with insufficient stock on-hand. :P Kelloggs |
Title: Re: Ship items that show On-Hand as negative Post by Lynn_Pantic on 07/29/13 at 17:07:07 The AR-A Allow Backorders by default should be Y. You should only change it to N for a customer that never wants anything backordered and wants the balance of an order cancelled once the first shipment goes out. |
Title: Re: Ship items that show On-Hand as negative Post by Prier Products on 07/30/13 at 14:03:36 Thanks Kelloggs. I checked our Release Qtys > On Hand and it is set to 0 so we're good there. And thanks Lynn. I checked several of our customers and the Allow Backorders was a Y on them so it must have just been the one customer where that box was N, as far as we know now anyway. |
