Title: Changing WO Quantity after Issuing everything Post by kevind on 11/13/13 at 17:50:11 We have a situation where we were going to make quantity 3 of an Item. There are about 50 parts on the BOM. We issued everything to the WO. Before any work was done on it, we decided to change the quantity to 5. The Picklist report shows the correct number of additional parts to pull to make the additional 2 items, but the Work Order shortage report does not show any shortages. :o If I look at the WO BOM, I see the Issued column shows 100% for everything. Could this be why the WO shortage report does not show any shortages? Had the work order originally been for quantity 5, we know we would have some shortages. At the quantity of 3, we had everything to complete the WO. Is there some way to get the WO shortage report to show what is currently short to make the 5? We are using DBA Classic. |
Title: Re: Changing WO Quantity after Issuing everything Post by David Waldmann on 11/15/13 at 05:12:50 This is just a guess. When you changed the WO qty (in WO-A, I'm presuming), when you saved it did you tell it to recalculate costs? |
Title: Re: Changing WO Quantity after Issuing everything Post by kevind on 11/18/13 at 12:10:28 David, Yes it did. This was the first thing I thought of when I was presented with this problem. I have a sinking feeling that it has to do with the %issued column showing 100% since it was 100% before we changed the WO quantity. Like I said, the Pick List shows what needs to be picked to make the additional 2 items, but the shortage report shows everything is just fine! |
