My bank rec is out of balance because of my mistake in trying to fix an overpayment. The AR-A for the customer is correct showing a zero balance, but the amount needs to be removed from the checks on the reconciliation. What is the best way to fix this.

Reconcile and clear it and save saying Y to reconciliation complete and OK to the message that you don't balance to the bank statement. Then go to AD-B and adjust the balance back to match the bank statement.
