Title: Access violation when adding a new routing. Post by cmisouth on 01/20/14 at 10:07:14 We installed the latest update this past weekend. The update went through without issues. However today no one can add a new routing, it goes right into an access violation error regardless of the user or the machine. What can I do to correct this? |

Title: Re: Access violation when adding a new routing. Post by cmisouth on 01/20/14 at 10:40:31 Unfortunately yes It came and said there were 9 errors Trying to print it now. |
Title: Re: Access violation when adding a new routing. Post by cmisouth on 01/20/14 at 10:55:12 Here are the errors. The only one of concern is the B03 file. B04 is no longer in use and will never be used again except for testing purposes. BKCMPCTH BKCMPCTH.B04 3 Has an actual size of 84, but it should have a size of 134. BKCMVNDF BKCMVNDF.B04 3 Has an actual size of 142, but it should have a size of 330. BKCMVNDH BKCMVNDH.B04 3 Has an actual size of 84, but it should have a size of 134. BKDCSHFT BKDCSHFT.B04 3 Has an actual size of 195, but it should have a size of 245. BKMRPFC BKMRPFC.B04 3 Has an actual size of 27, but it should have a size of 52. BKPRTC BKPRTC.B04 3 Has an actual size of 19, but it should have a size of 44. BKSBPART BKSBPART.B04 3 Has an actual size of 55, but it should have a size of 105. ROUTING ROUTTEMP.B03 3 Has an actual size of 1486, but it should have a size of 1514. TOOL TOOL.B04 3 Has an actual size of 425, but it should have a size of 525. I see some instructions to follow. Should I do what the print out suggested or is there another way? |
Title: Re: Access violation when adding a new routing. Post by Lynn_Pantic on 01/20/14 at 11:21:57 The ROUTTEMP file is causing your problem. You need to run update and force update on that file. If you do not use Routing Templates (as entered in RO-I and selected in RO-A) then you could simply initialize the file in TAS-E which will delete it and make a new empty one. |
Title: Re: Access violation when adding a new routing. Post by cmisouth on 01/21/14 at 05:22:28 It worked. Thank you ;D |
Title: Re: Access violation when adding a new routing. Post by cellis on 01/28/14 at 07:07:14 I can't enter any routings either, but when I run the report I get 148 Type 4 errors so I was following the instructions on how to fix them in the report and when I get ready to "force update" it tells me I should have a backup of all data files in the data dictionary and the .dbf and .mdx files backed up. I copied the entire DGAMFG folder does that cover it? Are files kept elsewhere than the DBAMFG folder? |
Title: Re: Access violation when adding a new routing. Post by Lynn_Pantic on 01/28/14 at 08:58:32 Everything is in DBAMFG and its subfolders. |
