I have just recently started using MRP to generate work orders for items we stock. I have min order quantities and reorder levels set for items we stock but I do not use lead times. When I generate work orders after running MRP it always wants to set the start and finish date based on the sales order date that triggered the need. I can manually edit finish date and set it to current date during review of the work orders but cannot edit start date (and even manually changing finish date is a pain). Is there a way to have it default to just using the current date for both start and finish dates for the work orders I want issued? Is there a default I am missing?

MRP is time based. You need to define Lead Times.
