Title: Website field in CM-A Post by cmisouth on 03/24/14 at 09:04:02 I found an interesting problem with the website field, it keeps the same website for all contacts across the board. If I delete it from the wrong contact it deletes it from all contacts. I'm wondering if a re-index is in order and which file to work with? |
Title: Re: Website field in CM-A Post by David Waldmann on 03/26/14 at 05:07:32 I don't understand the issue. As far as I know and can tell, there is only one place to put a website in CM-A, and it's on the main screen. The individual contacts have fields for Name, Position, Primary, Phone Number(s), Email(s), Misc Info* and Misc Date(s). If you have a report that puts the website with each contact, then yes - deleting it from the only place would delete it from every place. |
Title: Re: Website field in CM-A Post by cmisouth on 03/26/14 at 05:42:17 Well yes. The main screen has the field for website which I would assume is linked to the individual company listing being edited or entered just above it. However the website field seems to be completely independent of the information above it. Should it not be linked to the listing above it? |
Title: Re: Website field in CM-A Post by David Waldmann on 03/26/14 at 06:49:07 Yes, it is linked to the "Contact Account". Are you saying that if you enter a website there, that one website shows up on each Contact Account? And if you delete it there, all websites are empty? If so, that is certainly not the way it's supposed to work... you have a major problem. What version are you on? |
Title: Re: Website field in CM-A Post by cmisouth on 03/26/14 at 07:43:15 Yes that is what I'm saying. It's exactly what is happening. I'm on version 2013.4, Build 01/30/14 T7-7iR6 with pervasive 11.30 I also have the recent patches installed. |
