Title: not all EVO users get to"select report format" Post by Laura Oliver on 06/04/14 at 09:14:42 When printing a PO some of our EVO users get the option to select a report format i.e. .rtm. but other users don't get any choice-it just prints. How can I make it so that every EVO user gets to "select a report format" Thanks Laura |
Title: Re: not all EVO users get to"select report format" Post by prophet on 06/04/14 at 10:32:15 The first thing you should check is on those workstations where users can't change the rtm go to Settings then US-A. Under the Misc tab there is a setting which says "Enable Quick Printing" Uncheck it and save the setting then have them try it again. |

Title: Re: not all EVO users get to"select report format" Post by Laura Oliver on 06/06/14 at 12:00:54 So would that mean that some of my machines have updated EVO and the other machines do not have updated EVO? Thanks, Laura |
Title: Re: not all EVO users get to"select report format" Post by prophet on 06/06/14 at 12:44:50 No I doubt that. If anything some users menus may have to be updated or if they don't have access to the settings then it needs to be added to their menus. It doesn't solve the issue not printing If you or they don't have the quick print option then I would suspect that is not the problem. You said they don't get the option to choose the RTM. Does the screen ever come up where it gives them the name of the RTM? Also are they using the same PO-B and or PO-A program that you are using? |
Title: Re: not all EVO users get to"select report format" Post by Laura Oliver on 06/06/14 at 13:17:13 Prophet, I have been using DBA classic since 1997, but no one here wants to use EVO. So it never gets used. So EVO is still Greek to me. I am going to print your much appreciated reply and play around a little to see what I can figure out. Thank you very much, Laura P.S. I must have missed the EVO 101 manual. |

1. No, the user never sees a screen giving them the option to choose a RTM 2. I don't know that different users could be using a different PO-a and PO-Bs from other users. Help! Laura |
Title: Re: not all EVO users get to"select report format" Post by TGerak on 06/11/14 at 09:59:34 You probably know this, but if you go to System Manager then PS-G, you can look at the users that are having issues and at those that are not. From there you can see what program each user's menu is calling. You may have user menus that are calling different versions of a program from the same menu choice. For me, PO-A is calling T7POA.RWN. A year ago, PO-A called BKPOA.RUN. If the users with and without issues are both calling the same program, I would see if that user has issues on a different workstation. That will tell you if your issue is with a user or a workstation. |
Title: Re: not all EVO users get to"select report format" Post by prophet on 06/11/14 at 12:32:59 After thinking about it, even the older programs bring up the format name before you print. So in your case the format name never comes up, but do you get the next screen where you get the option to preview, print, list and choose your printers and such? The quick print option is one of the only things that comes to mind that does what you described but you said you don't have that option available. What ISTECH update are you currently running? As a test to rule out the workstation. Have one of those users go to a workstation that it does give the format name in and log into EVO with there EVO login and try it. See if the results are the same. |
