Title: How to Prevent EvoPatch.exe from always running Post by gtladmin on 04/01/15 at 11:58:57 How do I stop/prevent the evopatch.exe program from running at Evo login? I do not want it going out automatically. I want to only run manually. Please advise. Thanks, Val |
Title: Re: How to Prevent EvoPatch.exe from always runnin Post by Lynn_Pantic on 04/01/15 at 16:51:00 It is not downloading anything when it runs, only checks to see what is there. You can disable the check per workstation at Settings - US-A. it only downloads if you actually run it at SM-V. |
Title: Re: How to Prevent EvoPatch.exe from always runnin Post by gtladmin on 04/22/15 at 12:54:01 Ok, good. It just causes the HIPS to send alarms to me. Does not like how it is running/launching. Thank you. Val |
Title: Re: How to Prevent EvoPatch.exe from always runnin Post by kbolander on 10/27/15 at 07:44:32 This might be related: There are times when EVO slows down considerably, so I open up my task manager to find the EVOPATCH process to be utilizing a considerable chunk of my network bandwidth (see image). This isn't an issue for hardwired Gigabit users, but becomes a problem for users with wireless only access. I've seen the bandwidth increase for EVOPATCH when I'm in the IN-A/B or BM-A/B menus. It doesn't seem to be linked only to logging into EVO. I assume SM is system manager? If I don't have access to SM-V, can I grant it locally? I only have access to system manager IM or TAS. http://postimg.org/image/hyxd0id0n/ |
