Title: How to Prevent EvoPatch.exe from always running
Post by gtladmin on 04/01/15 at 11:58:57

How do I stop/prevent the evopatch.exe program from running at Evo login?  I do not want it going out automatically.
I want to only run manually.

Please advise.
Thanks,

Val

It is not downloading anything when it runs, only checks to see what is there.  You can disable the check per workstation at Settings - US-A.  it only downloads if you actually run it at SM-V.

Ok, good. It just causes the HIPS to send alarms to me.  Does not like how it is running/launching.

Thank you.

This might be related:

There are times when EVO slows down considerably, so I open up my task manager to find the EVOPATCH process to be utilizing a considerable chunk of my network bandwidth (see image). This isn't an issue for hardwired Gigabit users, but becomes a problem for users with wireless only access. I've seen the bandwidth increase for EVOPATCH when I'm in the IN-A/B or BM-A/B menus. It doesn't seem to be linked only to logging into EVO.

I assume SM is system manager? If I don't have access to SM-V, can I grant it locally? I only have access to system manager IM or TAS.
