Title: Inventory Items IN-B
Post by Donna Cardenas on 06/10/15 at 12:38:22

I am noticing duplicate records in my inventory items.  is there a way to remove the duplicate records?

They show up on reports as well as in IN-A or IN-B

I will start by running the SM-J-C Utility.
Run the reconciliation in 'report-only' mode, review the possible changes.
If everything looks reasonable run it again to apply changes.

If duplicates still showing, you will have to manually delete them, unless some knows a better way.

good luck....

That is what I do here.
bkicmstr and mticmstr are the two files you need to look at.   It has always been the second one that I need to delete.   Which would make sense.  The program is just looking for the first number and never finds the duplicate when inventory values change ect.

I've been dealing with this problem manually for quite a while.  I'll remove duplicates, but within a few weeks I've got a whole new set of them from seemingly random items.  Anyone know what causes this or how to stop it?

Thanks

If you can figure it out, I would love to know.  But I can never find the connection.  Thought I found it once but could not duplicate when it was happening.

When I find a problem that is repeatable, the programmers can fix the problem (and they fix it fast)

But random sucks!
