Title: Inventory Items IN-B Post by Donna Cardenas on 06/10/15 at 12:38:22 I am noticing duplicate records in my inventory items. is there a way to remove the duplicate records? They show up on reports as well as in IN-A or IN-B |
Title: Re: Inventory Items IN-B Post by Kelloggs on 06/10/15 at 14:46:10 I will start by running the SM-J-C Utility. Run the reconciliation in 'report-only' mode, review the possible changes. If everything looks reasonable run it again to apply changes. If duplicates still showing, you will have to manually delete them, unless some knows a better way. good luck.... 8-) Kelloggs |
Title: Re: Inventory Items IN-B Post by BurrKing_Mfg on 06/12/15 at 12:28:18 That is what I do here. bkicmstr and mticmstr are the two files you need to look at. It has always been the second one that I need to delete. Which would make sense. The program is just looking for the first number and never finds the duplicate when inventory values change ect. |
Title: Re: Inventory Items IN-B Post by MrMagic on 07/29/15 at 10:16:35 I've been dealing with this problem manually for quite a while. I'll remove duplicates, but within a few weeks I've got a whole new set of them from seemingly random items. Anyone know what causes this or how to stop it? Thanks |
Title: Re: Inventory Items IN-B Post by BurrKing_Mfg on 07/29/15 at 10:21:52 If you can figure it out, I would love to know. But I can never find the connection. Thought I found it once but could not duplicate when it was happening. When I find a problem that is repeatable, the programmers can fix the problem (and they fix it fast) But random sucks! james |
