Title: Printing individual lines per PL
Post by David Waldmann on 12/07/15 at 13:00:51

One of the things we use the Pick List for is a sort of Internal Packing slip.

That is, once it's made and ready to ship, we put a copy of the PL with the order until it's ready to go, so everyone can easily see what it is and where it's going. For one-item orders it's no problem. But when you have 5-10 items on a PL it's kind of a pain. I've been crossing out all irrelevant lines so that only the one is left, but it seems like there's got to be a better way.

There's already a "1 Kit per page" option, which seems like it's addressing the same type of issue. Another checkbox for "1 Item per page" would be handy.

However, I do see a "Page Break Character" that can be filled in. But it's unclear to me how it works. ??

I am also curious what the page break character does and how it is used.
In the meantime we use the following "trick" to print only the lines we want printed:
change the estimated ship date to a different date from lines you do not want printed and choose Est Ship Date From Thru option in SO-C
That way we print 2 packing slips when some items need to be shipped from location 2

I discovered an easier workaround (still not great)

Print to "Graphic File" (makes a jpg)

Open in graphic editing program.
Select all but the first line,
Delete,
Print.
Then, undo (so you get the original full pic back),
Select all the rest of the lines,
Drag up to top,
Select all but the (new) first line,
Delete,
Print.
Repeat as necessary.

Just did one that had 7 lines and it took just a couple minutes. This situation only happens occasionally (a few times a month) so it's not a huge deal, but it sure would be nice if the program handled it.
