Title: SO-G-A Bin Control Error
Post by gtladmin on 02/22/16 at 15:21:35

Every time our AR person posts invoices since our upgrade, she gets the following error on parts that never had bin control:'

Warning:
ERROR:  Bulk INVTXN record for part (part#) on SO #(so number) not found. bin Control information for this part cannot be processed.

The Bin number shows up as NO BIN LOC which is what Walter uses I believe with Warehouse control.

All of these parts being flagged are not bin control parts, they are "services" we perform, no physical inventory.

Do we need to change a setting somewhere?

Anybody have this problem?  Parts that are not bin controlled being flagged as bin control with Posting of sales orders?

Are the part numbers truly not Bin Controlled or are you just assuming they shouldn't be because they are type N?  Use WC-B to explicitly set them to N at the Master and Location llevel.

They are part numbers for services we provide, there never was a serial control for them that anyone knows of. I can certainly have Walter go in and make sure they are all set them explicitly to N as you suggest and see if that clears up the issue.

Thanks,

Val

Just to update, Walter went thru all these type of parts using WC-B and explicitly set them to N at the Master and Location level, and now accounting is no longer getting the bin control popup when releasing the sales order lines.

Thank you!!!

Val
