Title: Importing sales orders Post by Granberg on 03/22/16 at 14:13:00 I really need to this by end of day Wed. to present to my team. What is the easiest way to import sales order from an excel file into SO-A? What does the csv need to look like? What are the name of the files? Also, I want to use bar codes for our packing list. We need a small bar code font underneath all important info on a packing list like; Cust code, name, bill and ship to address, part #'s sales order numbers and phone #'s I also need to be able to and email address at the order entry level, like maybe at the bottom of the bill to and ship to address. Will a simple wedge scanner be able to scan the Evo Bar codes in the UPS World ship? |
Title: Re: Importing sales orders Post by David Waldmann on 03/23/16 at 09:18:16 I would say they're no "easy" way. We once spent a bit of time trying to figure out if we could use the EDI module to import SOs from data generated by our website, but never got anywhere with it. I'd be pretty sure you CAN do it with EDI but will take some time and preferably experience to do so. As for bar codes, yes a simple wedge scanner will input any text/number it reads into whatever field you're in for both Evo and UWS. Entering an email address at the SO level would have to use an already existing option, such as the Notes feature. You could set up a Note Type of Email and add it to the SO level. Pulling an already existing email from the customer info will be tricky unless you only have one email address per customer and always have them entered the same way. |
