Title: Sample SO-B Program
Post by RDS18 on 03/13/03 at 16:25:46

After extracting files to DBA dir and running ISTECH from UT-A, SO-B give me "Error: You are not licensed to run this program..."  I thought this was available to all as a sample?

Download it again - about the first 15 hits got a version that we inadvertently left the security in.  It has been replaced with an unrestricted one.

Has anyone been able to use the configuration settings for SO-B? It's not showing up in my ISTECH.RUN utility. ???

Go to SO-B, enter down to the last field, and a "Save" button will appear at the bottom (don't enter a SO range or they'll be there every time). Depending on whether you have a 1 or 2 in the ISTECH.RUM program you can save the changes for local or glogal settings. Then exit the program and it will have the new defaults next time you run it.

I see. ::)

For some reason I was envisioning a default setup in ISTECH.RUN

Thanks!

My SO-B settings don't seem to "take" when I hit save settings.  Is there something else I need to do?

You need to have your Configuration Settings in ISTECH.RUN set to a 1 or a 2.

What is the difference between 1 & 2.  Also what does the attach notes mean?

Thanks

1 - ONLY global settings - you can't change them on the individual workstation.

2 - When you click "Save" you'll be given the option of either Global or Local settings. If you select Global you'll have to provide the password, if local, no password is necessary.

Attach notes means that when you save the SO or PO you'll be asked if you want to Save, Edit, or Don't Save the notes entered in AR-A and AP-A.

Just what I needed.  Thank you, Dave.  :)
