The biggest reason I'm potentially interested in DBA-SQL / EziJobz is that you are supposed to be able to set up custom calculations of quantities. Whether or not it's custom enough for our requirements remains to be seen. Other than that, I'm most inclined to stick with DBA/ISTS because of the [glb]SERVICE.[/glb]

let me know what you need, maybe we can do someting within the Evolution environment so you can have the service AND features you want.

David,

I talked to the programmer today, and in a TAS 6 environment (which Evolution is) it is possible to have custom functionality that does not actually affect the core code. It is actually compiled into the screen code itself!

AND, the programmer that created TAS language itself, is working on a version of TAS right now that will incorporate what are called Stored SQL Procedures. What that will mean is that anyone could hire an SQL programmer that is familiar with Pervasive and write a custom set of routines and math and even create database fields to store information temporarily and then delete the field all in one seamless operation.

This means that you will be able to (in Evolution, as well as in upcoming versions of TAS 6 programs) be able to do "custom" calculations and a lot more without ACTUALLY customizing the core code. ;D

that functionality is embedded into the Ezijobs software. you the user can create your own triggers, business rules calculations for a variety of things. customize your own reports and drilldowns. when you get your copy you will be able to see all the functionality. Ezijobs is a powerful product. but so is Lynn's service and loyalty to her customers. so the Evo6 overlay for the DBA Software presents you the customer a slew of choices.
