Title: Problems printing graphics on forms
Post by k7dlr on 05/21/03 at 15:59:25

I have modified several graphical forms to include our company logo. The form prints fine on our laser printers, but prints the logo as a black box on our HP Officejet v40. Any suggestions on what is going on or how I can fix this problem? Thanks.

Is the logo in a .bmp format?

Yes, these logos are bitmaps (.bmp)

The original format shouldn't matter.  The RTM embeds the image into itself and does not reference the original BMP file.  You can delete or move the BMP file once the RTM is created, the RTM is fully self contained.

You could look to see if HP has any updated drivers for that printer.

I solved the problem by setting the graphic box's property to "direct draw."

Yeah, with HP's Jet driver and how it works with the color printers, there is a problem with certain translations of embedded .bmp files.

That is how I figured you were using a bmp.
