Title: Flag for Issues Resolved
Post by Mike_Vader on 06/26/03 at 14:57:42

I was wondering if it would be possible to consider adding a flag to the forum where the user who has started a topic can flag it for issues resolved.

Another idea would be to allow the initial user posting the topic to award "thank-you" points to people providing useful feedback.  This could travel with the users and might also discourage others from posting negative feedback or in the case of consultants: flagrant self-promotion.

Would something like this be possible?

Once an issue is resolved, the initial poster could add a "Thumbs Up" message icon to a final "Thank you" post to so indicate, such as the one I have included here.

As for the "points" awarded to users, I am not aware of anything within the forum software itself that could be used to do this.  The "stars" currently awarded are automatic and strictly based on the number of posts, not the relevance or quality of such posts.

;D  I like the "thumbs up" idea.  That would be useful when quickly scanning topics, I think. I'd certainly use it.
