I'm trying to create a new Shop Traveler and was wondering where I can pull data from the database. (i.e. What field is what)

Is there a list of what fields in the database are what? I do notice that some of them have descriptions, but most don't....

Specifically, I'm looking for:

Work Order #
Part No.
Seq#
Description (of sequence)
Quantity (of work order)

Anyone?

We could develop this for you as an MS Access application that would allow you significant flexibility and it would print EXACTLY what you want and where you want it.

Actually, we don't have Access available to us. We are thinking it would be better for us to remain within just DBA Manuf. and change the form that is already printed.

An Excel spreadsheet listing files and fields within the files is available at www.istechsupport.com/dl/dbafile.zip

This file is offered on a "Best Effort" basis, it is not 100% complete but it is certainly better than the cryptic field names in the files themselves.

If you want to edit the existing Traveler RTM and move fields around and perhaps delete some things, you can do that with standard DBA but if you want to add fields that are not on the existing form, you will need TAS 6 Evolution and the TAS 6 forms editor.

You don't actually need a full version of Access to run most of the applications we design. They can be run using the free "run-time" version of Access that is available from Microsoft.

Just an option that allows more flexibility than what is available with DBA itself. If you like, you can go to our website www.ariaconsulting.net, go to the Services section, then Custom Application Solutions and there is a link there that will take you to some screenshots of applications that we have designed to work with DBA in MS Access.
