Anyone happen to have gotten the default login and password for the Firebird administration Console for EJ, in order to register the server and create server logins and such?

Forget it all.  I found someone helpful at EJ in New Zealand. ;D

So, is this something necessary or at least suggested to set EZ up properly?

No this is not necessary for setting up EZ Jobs.  More for Firebird administration if it is necessary.  Haven't had a chance to get in and fool around with that side of EZjobz yet.  We have been too busy working with just the software itself.

It IS neccessary for trying to make ODBC connections to the database.  Of course you also need the ODBC driver.

Can't quite get that to work yet though...... :-/

Plus, from a technical standpoint it gives some insight into the database structure and design.  The table names are slightly less cryptic than DBA's, but not by enough. >:(

I have ODBC and Access working with Firebird.  Much easier to setup than Pervasive.  See posting on 44 Group Ezijobz forum under Firebird.

I do not see where you have more info on ODBC, access and firebird?

Tommy is talking about a post on our web site www.44group.com

There is a post in the Firebird section concering Ezijobz and ODBC connectivity.
