Title: electronic clocking an data entry
Post by deburr on 12/10/03 at 06:53:49

I'm just exploring the ezijobz demo company and I don't see provisions for employees to clock in on jobs like DBA. The help function stinks, there is no general overview of implementing the system or relationships between doing things in DBA as we know it and migrating over to ezijobz if you wanted to. Am I not looking in the right places? Anybody outhere playing with this stuff yet? Is there a usergroup yet formed for this purpose?

Thanks,
Steve

44 group has formed a forum.

As to the data collection, the lastest from the Harts' is that they will provide an open interface to a number of the most popular stand-alone DC packages allowing greater freedom of choice. And, of course, if that interface is provided and a client chooses something other than what they immediately integrate to, consultants such as Aria can always provide the programming to bridge the gap.

As far as the help function, well, can't say too much except that they indicate it will improve as the product comes ready for full distribution.

We also are having a problem with data collection for labor. Is there a way or does anyone make an aftermarket software package so we can barcode our labor directly into Ezijobz? Any help will be appreciated as this is a make or break feature for our needs.

As I indicated, the plan is to provide some form of interface. It is not yet ready.

If you were wanting to do something before that, it would require custom programming effort to link a data collection software package to EJ.
