Title: Report: Allocations exceeding Quant. Avail.? Post by John Bierrie on 01/15/04 at 10:56:21 Ok... I know I have seen this someplace, or done it (in the past) some way, but my memory is not working today. Can I, and then how can I, get a report, list, what-have-you, out of the system which will tell me ALL the material that I have allocated with orders, that exceed what I have available (QOH + On Purchase Order, etc.)?? I know it will "*" those items on a BOM list per finished part, but we want to be able to pull up, daily, a list of all raw material that needs to be ordered, based on finished product orders...etc.......... Thanks |

Title: Re: Report: Allocations exceeding Quant. Avail.? Post by John Bierrie on 01/15/04 at 11:29:54 Any time DBA comes back and tells me "this is going to take several hours to run and will take up system resources", or something to that effect, I do not think I want to say "yes" to it...:-) We are looking at the MR-H, as we speak. Thanks... |

Title: Re: Report: Allocations exceeding Quant. Avail.? Post by Lynn_Pantic on 01/15/04 at 11:46:28 You need to re-run MR-F to get accurate data. You might also want to look at IN-D |
Title: Re: Report: Allocations exceeding Quant. Avail.? Post by shadowcaster on 01/15/04 at 13:18:48 I run the mrp MR-F many times a day when we are busy Don't worry about the time. it wont take that long unless you have a really slow computer. IN-D is OK but wont let you see dependent items MRP will look ahead and dig deep to find everything you will need for multi level boms. Dont be afraid of it. Its DBA's best feature. It catches lots of the mistakes made day to day. like not issueing a w/o for a sales order. Or not issueing w/o for low level items that dont show up under IN-D. JW |
