Title: Access ODBC Fail Errors Post by dsmcnair on 02/05/04 at 13:28:19 I have a few hundred reports in Access that are linked to DBA , tried to run a date range report and I am getting "ODBC -- Call Failed". I updated to IS tech Support 12/22/03 a few weeks ago could that be the reason my date queries no longer work? I generated new DDF files that did not help. I take the Date range out of the query and it works : ( ?? Thanks for any help D Sean McNair Doughmakers, LLC |
Title: Re: Access ODBC Fail Errors Post by dsmcnair on 02/05/04 at 13:57:19 It happens on the queries that use the following tables:BKARHIVL_10 & BKARHINV_10 Linked by: BKAR_INVL_INUM/BKAR_INV_NUM HAVE OVER 80,000 RECORDS IN THE TABLE Date field is BKAR_INVL_ASD Also on a simple report using BKARCUST Date field BKAR_START_DATE Only 3000 records Using Criteria: Between [Type Start Date] And [Type End Date] D Sean McNair Doughmakers, LLC |
Title: Re: Access ODBC Fail Errors Post by DetGalb on 10/05/07 at 10:49:29 Maybe a corrupt date value in a date field? That issue just bit me. It turned out a date had some kind of non-date-like baggage in a date field. Whenever I queried to show that field, it failed. I went into maintain database and changed the value to a valid date and everything was fine. It showed in maintain database as 00/00/00, which is what the blank dates look like, but it had something bad in it, apparently. |
