Title: Generate Report via "audit" trail Post by SamincoInc on 02/02/05 at 06:18:19 I am looking for some help on generating a CR to show all transaction (adjustments) by specific users. Any thoughts? Thank you Kindly |
Title: Re: Generate Report via "audit" Post by kevind on 02/02/05 at 06:23:12 Which transactions do you want to report? Inventory, GL, Payables, AR ? |
Title: Re: Generate Report via "audit" trail Post by SamincoInc on 02/02/05 at 08:58:44 Inventory |
Title: Re: Generate Report via "audit" trail Post by aricon on 02/02/05 at 11:37:23 Cannot be done. No file in DBA maintains any record whatsoever of the user login doing the transaction. So it is impossible to report off of. Even in EVO-ERP, I do not believe that ISTS has user coded the records in the data files. |
Title: Re: Generate Report via "audit" trail Post by SamincoInc on 02/02/05 at 13:08:15 Sorry Aricon, But I figured it out with alittle help from Lori. You need: File INVTXN field MTIT.EXTRA. Works like a charm. Now my secondary question would be: How can I create a .exe file for my non-Crystal Report users so that they can run said (refreshed) report when ever they need. (W/O having to request it from me)? Thanks |
Title: Re: Generate Report via "audi Post by kevind on 02/02/05 at 13:17:33 If you have EVO, then try this. I love a challenge. http://spectronics.com/dba/invaudit.zip Please Note: This report is Crystal Reports V10. |
Title: Re: Generate Report via "audit" trail Post by aricon on 02/02/05 at 13:37:56 Saminco, INVTXN does not record user login ID. So, what did you do? |
Title: Re: Generate Report via "audit" trail Post by kevind on 02/02/05 at 13:47:02 In EVO it does. |

Title: Re: Generate Report via "audit" trail Post by aricon on 02/02/05 at 15:31:54 Sorry, Saminco did not indicate he was on Evo. in standard Classic, it does NOT record user info. |
Title: Re: Generate Report via "audit" trail Post by Tim Keating on 02/03/05 at 08:47:12 Re: "How can I create a .exe file..." Out of the box, v.8.0 does not have the report compilation feature. I believe it is available as a patch from Crystal though. |
Title: Re: Generate Report via "audit" trail Post by aricon on 02/03/05 at 13:13:30 Tim, You are correct. It is an available patch for v8 of Crystal. be advised however that v8.5 and up to 10 do NOT support that stand-alone creation of exe report files for distribution. |
Title: Re: Generate Report via "audit" trail Post by Karen Genco on 02/10/05 at 16:14:25 They say that, but I am on ver 8.5 and I can use the compiler without a problem. |
Title: Re: Generate Report via "audit" Post by aricon on 02/10/05 at 17:02:46 Granted. But what I said was they do not support it. And it does not work at all with v10. |
