Title: Way to retrieve use logged in?
Post by ITman on 07/15/05 at 04:31:08

Hello,

I'm just wondering if there is a way to get the currently logged in user (to DBA, not windows).

Reason is that we have groups of logins in DBA (Shipping, Purchasing, AR, etc...), and in windows (I can get the windows logon into TAS ok) we have many user names (bsmith, jshmoe, etc....)  Something I'm making we need to distinguish between DBA logon groups and enable and disable options in the prog...

Thanks for the reply but I meant I need to access the logged on user in evo, from TAS.  For example, I can do this...

username = getenv('username')

This will return the user name of the person that is logged into windows.  I'm looking for the user that logged into evo, I believe that somewhere in the main menu prog evo would have to store the information, anywhere?

Thanks,
Keith

Nobody knows this?  I guess I'll have to use the win2k users then, or maybe just make a bunch of seperate programs that are identical but have different screen forms load or something.

Thanks,
Keith

Send an email directly to Allen (NovaZyg). He'll know off the bat if it is possible and how. He's REALLY good.
