I have officially gotten two emails that said that this topic was replied to. That is correct. I said that I lost my password and I got an email about that to. It seems that all emailing in the forum is now working. Remember to check the 'Notify of Replies' checkbox people!

Yeah, and I just got an email saying that you replied so it really must still be working properly.

This coming weekend the forum software will probably be updated to the newest version. It would be right now but there was a problem caused by something stupid and the forum had to be reverted to this format again.

Well, it is sort of working. The Forgot Password did work for me but the password for a new user and the Notify of Replies to the post is not, although Collin, you say that is working for you. Hmmmm. ???

Some progress is better than none, we will keep working on it.

I smacked up the email server and it should hopefully cooperate better now. I don't forsee the greylister getting in our way anymore. I think grey listers are a waste of time anyway. Please, try it again.

I thought that it was strange that I wasn't notified via email that this topic was posted in. Turns out the forum really doesn't have that set for me anymore... I wonder why. Apparently that's something to watch out for: Phantom unsubscribing to notifications on a topic.

But it's good that it's not working for you.

Nevermind that... I just realized that if you post in a topic that you had notification set on that you must recheck the box for notification each time you post. Otherwise it probably would take notification off. It makes sense.

Try clicking on the Notification link at the top of the screen, under

Hey, YourName, you have XXX messages.
Date, Time

You'll probably see no notifications set at all...

I guess I'll have to fight with the forum software again.

The check box in this screen (the posting screen) appears to be acting as a toggle. Check it once, the topic appears under "Notifications". Check it again on a subsequent post, and the topic is removed from "Notifications".

That doesn't solve the "why we don't get emails", but it may help you down the path.

*BLUSH* well... you see... when you change the settings file for the greylister it helps if you restart the program so it re-reads the settings... Whoops... Should work now!

I hope anyway... it's still greylisting things that were listed before I restarted... We might need to give it a minute...

Well, Dale is getting emails about notifications now. I'm not but it hates me. Let's see if it notifies you when I send this.

It's not even trying to send notifications to you or I.

Maybe I'll be moving up the plan to upgrade the forum software. Would everybody be cool with a little downtime later tonight? I'm getting sick of fighting with this forum software.

I hadn't set this topic to notify me so thats why I wasn't getting any notifies. I just did now though so it does seem to be working. But, it is a bit wonky sometimes and it does seem to not work unsetting notify on the notifications screen.

I still sort of want to get rid of this version to hopefully fix the problems and get some more features.

I went to the Forum last Sunday evening & it was different - all of the different headers were there but all subjects were empty. There were no discussions/threads (not sure what you call them) at all. Instead of the IS Tech logo was the YaBB 2 Gold logo at the top left corner. I had just upgraded our EVO system to the 2/14 build so I thought it had something to do with that........ but I guess not.

No, it wasn't just you. There was an attempt to upgrade the forum to a new version but things weren't working right and the forum was reverted back to it's regular version. However, I think that another try may be made tonight and this time it should be more successful.

yeah, I got an email forwarded that shows that your email provider is blacklisting the forum's server from sending email. I think I know a way to fix it though.
