I'm sorry to hijack this thread but... I looked up that part # (we're maybe interested in HH). Is it really over $2100 to buy one of those?!? That's absolute highway robbery! If that's true then the CEO of Motorola should be pickled in motor oil.

We use:

Symbol MC3090 Hand Held Computer (GUN
GRIP) Kit Includes, Single Dock and Power

It too was expensive - $2,200 - especially when we have five of them, which I imagine isn't unusual.  (We use them for shipping, receiving PO's & issue materials.)  We love them!

We went through Abetech Ph 763-428-1285 - Fax 763-428-1270 www.abetech.com.

Good luck!

48 Key with rotating integrated laser scanner,

Capacity Battery, Bluetooth, pistol grip

(1) CRD3000-11RR Cradle kit for MC7090

Ask for Rajiv.  This is for the equipment only.

<Takes down notes>

Reeeeeally.... I have a new project to look into. All that hardware can be bought in singles for like $300 total. Seems as how Motorola is a chip company they probably have an actual cost of something like $40 for all that. What a markup! I wish we could soak people that badly for the things we make. ;-)

But, back to the original user's question: Does anyone have an answer for them?
