Title: backup utility scheduler
Post by deburr on 11/22/08 at 06:51:28

When I try to use the schedule backup TAS-O, I see it is still in developement. Been that way for a long time. Anybody have any idea when this might be completed. Sure would be handy.

The scheduler seems to still not work. What do you folks use for regular backups? Some of the products I have tried have problems with open or locked files.

We use Yosemite for local backups to removable disk drive.

Then we use SOS Backup to the cloud.

Backups are done after working hours to eliminate open/locks. SOS Backup sends a report after the completion which shows any files not backed up. I've never seen an Evo/DBA file in the list.

If your software is not backing up all those "locked" files, you should consider manually copying all hidden and locked files. It has to be done only before and after an Evo Update, that is it.
If you don't do that your backup will only work to restore your data but not your entire ERP System.

User beware

Thanks for the replies. I started using Crash Plan, and that seems to work OK.

Is the scheduler for the backup scheduler working yet?

From Help - The Schedule button is not yet functional but will allow for scheduled backups of the selected files once it becomes functional.
TAS-L or TAS-O

It has been working for a long time.  See http://www.istechsupport.com/EvoService.pdf for setup instructions.
