I gave up on installing CR v5 on my win 7 workstation, and down loaded a trial CR 2008. After much fooling around and getting nowhere with ODBC, I connected to my data on the server (peer to peer setup) using betrieve connection.

I can see my data and build a report. Problem is when save a report I can no longer refresh the report. When I refresh the report, I get a Btrieve error 3012. Any ideas?

btrieve 3012 is basically it cannot find the server.
using the btrieve driver, the report must be opened with the same relative path that the report was created.
i always use the odbc, then as longs as the same DSN is setup on each workstation you dont' have that problem and the report runs faster than the btrieve driver.
either one works. just a matter of preference.
