We're planning on upgrading to EVO next week from DBA Classis 2001.1, i'm currently trying to Install 2004.1 on a test machine so I can work out how long the install will take, I managed to install 2004.1 but I'm having a few issues and was wondering if there are any critical steps I have missed out? The installation notes I have are just for 2002.4 or later to EVO. I've searched on here and haven't found anything relevant for upgrading to 2004.1

This is what I have done so far

1. Save the SUWIN6.DCY and SUWIN7.DCY to the DBAMFG Folder
2. Save the BKARSIVL.B to both the DBAMFG and DBAMFG/DEFAULT folder
3. Run the "Install" file for 2004.1 (without any issues)
4. Run GL2002 in SYS-MGR-UT-A for all our companies

When I open IN-C in DBA2004.1 DBA it just crashes and says that DBA is not responding...

Any help would be much appreciated.

You need to run the update process to get your data converted from 2001.1 to 2004.1 which should take a fair amount of time and run through a number of data files counting down records.

If it doesn't automatically run, go to Start - Run and enter {path to DBAMFG}\TP5WDBA.EXE UPDATE to force it to run.

OK that was easy! 2004 up and running well but have just treid installing Evo with no luck, the install just stops on the "update Data" box the with the load bar fully complete and a second instance of the evo install window on the task bar but clicking it does nothing.

I have disabled NOD and DEP, any suggestions? Running Win 7

Update, it appears the issue is with Windows 7, if I hover over the new window on the taskbar I can see the update button but can't maximise it, I've had this while running reports in DBA and they don't maximise once finished - does anyone know about this glitch?

Does it run the Convert Codebase Dictionary part but then not the update part? Both of those are loading the EVOERP.EXE so it doesn't make sense that one would load and not the other.

No everyting seems to run correctly but I just cant see it running as it won't maximise from the taskbar?
