Trying to setup a new workstation

I unarmed the firewalls and let the progam DBA thru the firewall. but I still get the follow.....An error occurred while trying to load Btrieve  ...error 3016

Any and all help appreciated

I have been advised to choose the service option over the application option during the workstation set up and to always choose the 32 bit option....even if you have a 64 bit machine.

Definitely go for the 32 bit client even if the workstation is a 64 bit machine.   Service versus Application controls (as I understand it) whether Pervasive is always running in the background.  If you install as an application, it has to load every time you launch DBA or Evo and if it takes some time, you can get the error.  If you install as an application, it is always loaded in the background.

I am not sure which one fixed ...An error occurred while trying to load Btrieve  ...error 3016 ... but  thanfully one of the changes did.
