Title: Excel data connection to Sales Order Line Item
Post by AReid on 07/30/13 at 09:45:29

I created an Excel file with data connection to the Sales Order Header file (BKARINV) and the Sales Order Line Item file (BKARINVL) on separate sheets within the same Excel file.  Both files have been regularly refreshed via the Excel Data Connection for the last six months without any problems.  Now the Sales Order Line Item file will not refresh.  Sometimes an error message is displayed when the refresh is done for the BKARINVL file:

"Multiple-step OLE DB operation generated errors.  Check each OLE DB status value, if available.  No work was done."

The Sales Order Header file (BKARINV) file refreshes without any problems.  Investigating the above error message has not identified the problem.  EVO help indicated that there may be something wrong with some data in the BKARINVL file.

Any ideas on how to resolve this problem?

This is often a data type problem. Make sure you are passing valid data types to your excel cells.

If your file has been corrupted, indeed that type of data stored on that record would be "invalid"
Try re-indexing your table. Make sure to make a backup up and no one can be logged into DBA/EVO
