Title: fileloc for ISARTXN.B12-4 ...when changing part#s
Post by Laura Oliver on 12/11/13 at 18:47:00

Trying to change a part number in system manager and got this errror ....  A record was not found in fileloc for ISARTXN.B12-4

I have not needed to change a part number since our server upgrade in July 2012.
Also we use company B12 as our main DBA.

Any and all help appreciated.
Thanks
Laura

Hello,
I never got this fixed.
I was once again  trying to change a part number in SM-J-L and I keep getting this error message:
" A record was not found in fileloc for file  ISARATXN.B12-4
Any and all help appreciated.
Thanks
Laura

Hi,

I opened that table but it is empty.
Could you verify if the table exist on your system?

The file would only have entries if you ship serialized items and have archived invoices for serialized items.

Kelloggs,
You are always so helpful.  I am going to go try to figure out how to "open the table".   We do serialize a few parts.  So if I can figure out how to open the table, I assume I will see serialized archived parts based on what Lynn said.

I will try re-indexing too, but I am always scared to re-index, because I don't understand it.   I think I can reindex just that file.

Just out curiosity.... what does the "-4"  denote at the end of ISARATXN.B12-4  ?
Thanks,
Laura

If you serialized parts you have that table.

The problem must be something else

How would I know if I have that table?   Where do I look for the tables?

I have no idea what UT-H (print file layout)  does. but I thought the table may be found in UT-H.   But ISARATXN doesn't show up in UT-H.

Thanks

Nor is ISARATXN.B12  found in Maintain database.
But I do see ISARTXNB.B12  in maintain data base

for future reference:  I think I left out an A in the subject when I started this thread.  ISARATXN.B12-4  is correct.  The error message I get when changing a part number does say ISARATXN.B12

so you are missing a table ?
if that is the case you can use TAS-E to create that table.

If you aren't sure what to do please contact Lynn for support

PD: becareful with the TAS-E  program it will erase all your data if you are not careful

Yes, I am missing  ISARATXN.B12.  It is not in the 12 folder.  (which is where our current company data is)
But I do have  ISARATXN.B  in the  default folder.

Rather than creating that table in the dangerous TAS-E, can I just copy the  ISARATXN.B  and rename it?

I bet I can't, because I assume that TAS-E creates it with the most up todate data.

Thanks
Laura

Back in 2013 Lynn suggested

UT-A, T7DDCHECK (Evo) or DDCHECK (DBA).  It looks like the update didn't do everything it needed to.

Maybe this will work instead of TAS-E

Success!

I tried to run ddcheck several time in dba, but kept getting the error .... Tb5wdba.exe has stopped.  A problem caused the program to close.

So I ran T7ddcheck in evo and got a 11 page report of files that don't exist.  All but one of the million errors were from a test company long deleted. I then went to delete  the previously deleted play company but it was not found when I pushed F2.  But I manually typed in the company extension and the program acted like it deleted the supposedly previously deleted company.  Even though It could not found in the search box the old deleted company was obviously there..  I reran t7ddcheck and this time got a single error.   I then went and ran ddcheck in dba and got the same one error report.
So It appears that the remnant dormant  files from the previously deleted company were not allowing me to change the name of part numbers.

Hope this helps someone in the future.
