Title: Christmast List Post by Kelloggs on 12/18/14 at 09:33:58 If Santa can fix these problem on this season of joy, would be fantastic !!!
Other than that, we are quite happy with EVO and would like to wish to all a Merry Christmas and congratulate Itechsupport for they hard work. 8-) Kelloggs |
Title: Re: Christmast List Post by Mike_Habich on 12/18/14 at 10:47:18 Never knew Santa could code, but it's worth a try. I'd be a happy kid if I could just get Fewer clicks to print Clean up unused icons like credit card and Evo/classic switch buttons on SO-A Maybe I'd even behave... |
Title: Re: Christmast List Post by Vman on 12/23/14 at 13:31:59 If Santa did some of that stuff, maybe I could convince the boss to pay for support again. I'd also add: 1. Get Features and Options to use the code field in the database. 2. Better way to back out finished production, especially after the WO is closed. 3. Improve synchronization between the two inventory files, better yet only have one. 4. Database to enter manufacturer information, linked to inventory items. 5. Improve sales quotes to add COGS/margins. It is the holidays, so we can dream:) |
Title: Re: Christmast List Post by shadowcaster on 12/26/14 at 16:06:40 EVO crashes a lot. biggest understatement of 2014 really, really, needs to be addressed. can't some code be put in to trap the bugs so they can be fixed or is the the flaw so deep in the code it will never be stable ? I remember an update a while back that promised fewer crashes. I was excited. Seems to me it made things worse. |

I guess I'm lucky. I may have to restart Evo once a week. Kelloggs wrote:
Not sure what you mean. PO HAS to be received BEFORE it's invoiced... Kelloggs wrote:
It doesn't eliminate all of them, but have you tried Quick Print? BTW, I almost never click - the Keyboard is much faster, especially once you learn what keys you need on which screens. Kelloggs wrote:
Never happened here AFAIK Kelloggs wrote:
Again, never happened here. Kelloggs wrote:
We have had that happen here too many times, but I've finally figured out the biggest reason: the customer Ship-To address was incorrectly set up. Whenever I'd find an invoice with no Tax Group I'd look at the Customer and it was right. Finally realized that the 3-4 customers that it happened to frequently had default Ship-Tos with no tax group... Kelloggs wrote:

The Credit Card button is still valid/used. Vman wrote:
Not sure what kind of info you need to enter, but have you considered the Evo Notes system? It's very powerful once you assess the potential impact and get everything set up in a way that works for you. I'll add one: Fix the Black Box problem... |
Title: Re: Christmast List Post by Vman on 03/19/15 at 06:44:51 EVO crashes/locks up daily on me. Most of the time going to Task Manager and stopping the T7 runtime allows me to restart it. It seems to have something to do with some screens not liking the mouse as much as others. We have an older version of EVO, so some programs are mouse-friendly, while others are not. It would have better if EVO was updated to T7 one module at a time instead of the hodge-podge we have now. A database with manufacturers information would allow you to have detailed information on a part manufacturer(address, support emails) linked to every part that you stock that is made by that manufacturer. We stock a lot of electronic components and this would be very handy. EVO notes is nice, but having to put in a note (even copying one) with all that info on 50 parts, versus having a "manufacturer code" isn't workable. |
Title: Re: Christmast List Post by David Waldmann on 03/19/15 at 07:36:10 Wouldn't you know, it crashed on me this morning. Me and my big mouth... |
Title: Re: Christmast List Post by Mike_Habich on 03/19/15 at 07:38:07 Access violations and out of system resources both far too common. |
Title: Re: Christmast List Post by deburr on 09/17/15 at 04:47:14 Not as solution but maybe a help in solving. Most of the time when my users say their system is locked up, it is because the system is waiting for user interaction to a pop up window that is not viewable to the user because it is behind another window or is otherwise inactive. By opening and closing an app that uses the full screen or by minimizing active windows, many times I can get the pop up or message box to surface and and then resume with EVO. |
Title: Re: Christmast List Post by Laura Oliver on 09/17/15 at 11:47:13 This thread allowed me a sigh of relief. Its not just us !!!! We are not the only ones having EVO problems. We only have 8 users on DBA so we had to use EVO to add additional users. Also Evo gives us so much more.... like GLs on the purchase orders. However it has been a nightmare. We crash all the time, always getting errors, etc. So what we do is mostly use DBA and switch to EVO for purchase orders and a few reports. My folks actually had a fairly good attitude when we implemented the change to EVO ... but not anymore....One of the guys asked me if Quick Books had a manufacturing version .... I dont know what you mean by crash. but we get exception errors all the time when we are entering/changing Purchase Orders in EVO. And when we get an exception error we loose every line on the purchase order ..... which means we have to recreate Purchase Orders. We have already re-created 3 purchase orders today. Its really hard for my folks to like EVO. |
Title: Re: Christmast List Post by Laura Oliver on 09/28/15 at 06:53:30 The MBA guy here brought something to my attention that makes EVO a whole lot easier to use. He said EVO doesnt like clicking. ( I call it mouse clicking) So now I am entering through via the enter key and I am getting a lot less of those nasty popup error things. Any other ideas on how to make EVO more user friendly? |
