Title: 2015 Annual tax withholding table
Post by EMI Ann on 01/02/15 at 10:19:03

When will the 2015 tax table info become available? The federal "circular e" no longer contains the yearly rate table that can be used to update our systems.

I found the table in pub 15 @ irs.gov, pages 43 & 46.

Hi, Rick,
Thanks for the reply. In the past, they have put in an annual category page; this year they only go up to monthly, and do not include the annual, which is what we need to enter in PR-F. Is multiplying all the monthlies by 12 good enough, or is it just gonna make "Auntie IRiS" unhappy?

On the pages referenced, I did find the annual amounts. I am sure that Lynn is going to post the rates shortly as she usually does, but I just want to get mine up to date as my crew goes home at noon on Fridays which is the payday.

Ann,

To clarify it further, if you go to Pub 15, page 43, table 5 will have the annual withholding for 1 and page 46, table 7 will have the tax tables you will need.

It is not that simple.  Many states have logic that does not work entirely with the tax tables so the Pr-B program has to be updated.  There will be an update released this weekend with the new program and tables and the reality is, if one or two payrolls are processed at last year's rates, the bottom line is a few dollars at most when calculating the tax return.  It is only an estimate at best.

Thank you! I will keep my eyes open for the update. But of course the tables don't work with logic... it's the government!  ;D

Thank you for everyone's help! It turns out that the generation of the Publication 15 circular, while the most updated, was not the one I needed. Rick, you were spot on.
Thanks!
Ann
