Title: UT-I Create/Delete Company
Post by DSANCHEZ on 11/19/15 at 10:52:33

I am unable to run UT-I Create/Delete Company even as Administrator.  I get the following:  Access violation at address 00405D59 in module 'evoerp.exe.' Read of address 0000006A.

IS Tech Support Update 7/26/13 SP1

I'm getting this Access violation error too!  It also then pretty much locks up EVO and I have to force quit it.

Is there a remedy or can I just trash the folder with the second company files?

What update are you currently running? Is this in EVO or DBA where you tried to create the company? If you go to maintain database did the files get created for that company?

It's EVO 2011 update.  I was just trying to go in an delete any additional companies prior to running the latest 2017 update.  From the directory level it looks like the only additional company files are in the testdata folder.

I did check maintain database and see there's references to the testdata folder and a 07 Company... that I don't have anymore.  That 07 is causing issues with the update as it's try to access files there.  I bypassed all of the dialog boxes, but once I get the update done, how do I remove all references to 07 if UT-I keeps crashing the application on me?

The update process actually starts with the DBA Data Dictionary files and builds new Evo ones.  Load DBA and go to UT-I and press F3 and delete the reference to the 07 company.  Go to UT-D and do a lookup and make sure there are no other bad companies listed.  If there are, repeat the process.  You should have B files in DEFAULT\ and B99 in TESTDATA\ and any other valid companies in their appropriate folder.

Then when you run the update new clean Evo data dictionary files will be generated.

Don't know if this is relevant but we used to have issues creating new Companies (we use as test systems for training etc)
We had to physically create the new folder number on our server and then use that folder # to create company and worked fine.
Also remember you cant have anyone logged in and have the pervasive data base open.  hope this helps   ;)
