Hi All.. We have been using DBA classic now since 2000. Most years my accountant closes the year and prints W-2 forms and the data in the Bkprhist is not lost. But now when he printed W-2 forms and it has purged some PR History data. I think I know how to fix this in the future by better back up before printing W-2's but my question now is to restore the lost data.

How can I export data from good backups of old bkprhist files and import it (add to) current bkprhist files?? I think I saw something about doing this in the past but I cannot find it now.

Something else happened. W-2's don't look at BKPRHIST at all.

Yes.. but my accountant did something, like say yes to a purge of data option?? He made a mistake and now I want to try to fix it be putting my backup good data back into the active bkprhist file.. how to export good data and import it back into the hist file?? of other method to update the deleted data back into the history file??

You can export but not import within DBA itself. You will have to use the Pervasive Control Center and SQL Statements. Or other Pervasive data utilities. If you would like assistance, we can help.

Not easily. You would have to create each BKPRHIST record manually using Maintain Database and there are a LOT of fields. I guess another question is, if this is from many years ago, why bother? If it is recent then it may be worth doing.
