Title: Exporting BOM from EVO to Xcel Post by cwalcott on 06/09/16 at 13:17:11 Trying to export a bill of material from EVO to Xcel. EVO seems to have skipped the export instructions. Have any of you exported a BOM to Xcel? :-/ |
Title: Re: Exporting BOM from EVO to Xcel Post by Lynn_Pantic on 06/09/16 at 16:49:48 DE-A is the query wizard for export but a BOM is difficult if it has multiple levels. Better to print BM-B to file and save to Excel. |
Title: Re: Exporting BOM from EVO to Xcel Post by cwalcott on 06/10/16 at 08:37:23 Thank you Lynn, When I print it to file & save as excel file, click OK. The program looks like it prints it, gives me message Finished Printing yes or no. When I click yes I can't find the file it printed to. I've gone through the computer files looking for excel file & I can't find it. Is there a place the program stores this file? |
Title: Re: Exporting BOM from EVO to Xcel Post by Kelloggs on 06/10/16 at 10:40:15 I believe by default it saves it on your X:\DBAMFG folder ;) Kelloggs |
Title: Re: Exporting BOM from EVO to Xcel Post by cwalcott on 06/10/16 at 10:46:18 Does it save the file as an excel file or something else? Looked all through the default folder and didn't find an excel file. I'll check it again. Thanks much. |
Title: Re: Exporting BOM from EVO to Xcel Post by Kelloggs on 06/10/16 at 10:52:35 I did some testing and it save it on the C:\ISTS as a .CSV Did you look in that folder? :D Kelloggs |
Title: Re: Exporting BOM from EVO to Xcel Post by Lynn_Pantic on 06/10/16 at 13:56:16 BM-B (or any printed report) saved as Excel file saves as XLS and is in the root DBAMFG or EVOERP folder unless you specify elsewhere. There is a Default Report Destination folder you can (and should) define at Settings - US-A which now works (it wasn't for a while but has been fixed). DE-A Query Wizard export saves as CSV to the folder specified in SM-T which in John's case may be C:\ISTS |
Title: Re: Exporting BOM from EVO to Xcel Post by cwalcott on 06/10/16 at 14:16:08 Thank you everyone. I believe I've found the copies of BOM. I printed to file and saved as excel. My files are in the EVO folder and they are saved to a file I didn't recognize. Thought it would look more like an excel file in other directories. Really appreciate everyone's help. Have a nice weekend! ;D |
