Hi,

Wondering if we can purge old (older than 10 years) Sales order invoices, purchase orders and quotes in order to reuse the numbering scheme. How does purging those things affect the GL information?

Purging those items has no impact on the GL.

I should probably also ask....Is there any reason that purging old sales or purchasing data is a bad idea?

Disk space is cheap. I would archive rather than purge. We have added programs for archiving practically everything and all the archive programs have a restore option so be brutal. Most benefit will come from Closed Sales and Work Orders (which is already archived by the update process) and AR and AP.
