Title: Serial Numbers are not correct
Post by JamesO on 07/09/20 at 09:10:19

A user in MFG is using WO-I (finish production) and gets to the point where a serial# is required. The serial Number is scanned in. Most work perfectly, but some do not. Sometimes the srial numbers are missing or adding numbers, letters, not in center of field etc. Example (Scanned serial of 06301 showed up as 06301$M) Also if we try to scan the serial # to notepad for a test it comes out correct. So the user can change the serial # in serial control, but can not change the serial # in the transaction record.
What table is the serial # for the transaction record located? Is it ok to manipulate the serial number there to correct it? Get rid of leading zeros, letters etc?

Thank you,

Jimmy

The transaction would be stored in INVTXN and it would be OK to edit it.
