Work Order Issues (WO_G)
05/06/03 at 08:41:14

Have encountered a couple of new problems with WO-G routine and hope someone knows of a patch or etc. that I missed.
Item 1:
On work orders, when we scrap a qty of parts; we have observed at time of issue the qty issued moves to the normal issue field on the screen.  To check we have ran the Print Material Issued  and it reflects a normal issue, also checked Maintain Data Base (Invtx} and it does not show as a scrap issue either.

Item 2
We have noticed on issue of kits that randomly we have A type items not being issued.  It is only one line item per work order. Check Item Inquiry and (IN_A) and the allocated requirement and etc. are correct.  (Meaning that you still have an allocated qty needing to be issued)

We traced back some of these problem and it looks like these problems started around Mid April, this is approximately the time we installed the 2002.4 and Istech Support updates.

Item 1 - I verify and will get it fixed, at least for IS Tech subscribers.

Item 2 - do you generally Kit issue or List?  Randomly missing items is harder to track down.

I am showing the same problem when running the Print Material issued: JC-E.  I have been on 2002.4 quite some time and have installed the ISTS updates as they were available.  Currently running EVO.  March reports show scrap okay, April is not okay.

I don't think inventory transactions ever indicated which item was a regular release of material and which was scrap for me, but I'm not positive.

Is there any pattern - like it is the first or last item on the BOM or something?

It looks as it is the last item.

Lynn,
I have been doing the kit issues + additional issues not through the kit for the scrap amounts.  However, they are not showing as scrap with the scrap codes I assigned.

The scrap is generally the last thing I issue.

LYNN IF YOU COME UP WITH A PATCH FOR ITEM ONE WOULD YOU EMAIL "dspansel@WENZEL.COM" WITH IT.
The reason being I be at Raylar for the next couple of days

Item two:
we checked all work order that were kit issue since 4/15/03 and came up with one more. we are going to keep an eye open for this one.
